Optimal Distilling
Your bourbon will be distilled and aged in Crestwood at Kentucky Artisan Distillery: the same still and barrel barns used in crafting many great spirits like Whiskey Row, Cream of Kentucky, & Jefferson’s. The changing climate of Kentucky adds flavor and refinement to the bourbon as it moves in and out of the barrel walls. Once the aging process is complete, IBB is cut with KY’s limestone water and bottled with your customized labels.
Bourbon Country
For those who desire their own barrel of bourbon, any bourbon just won’t do. It must be extraordinary and this is why IBB distills and ages in Kentucky. While not all bourbon is made in Kentucky, we believe that some of the finest is made in the Bluegrass State. Figures show approximately 95 percent of the world’s bourbon whiskey is made in Kentucky.
Why? Corn, bourbon’s primary grain, loves the soil and hot, humid summers in KY and our forests are filled with American White Oak for barrels. Additionally, the state sits atop vast deposits of blue limestone, which filters out hard iron and imparts sweet-tasting calcium and magnesium. Kentucky is a one-of-a-kind place for a one-of-a-kind bourbon.
